From Glen Abby:

• Pool Address: 3600 Grey Abbey Drive, Alpharetta, GA 30022
• Parking: Parking will be on the street, but only one side as we have to leave access for emergency vehicles through the neighborhood. There will be “no parking” signs.
• Visitor Bullpen: Your bullpen will be located on our sports court adjacent to the pool. Tents, chairs and/or blankets are recommended. A volunteer from our team (Melissa Abraham) will be there to assist you when you arrive. This volunteer will provide gym squares to be placed underneath your tent legs to protect our sports court at the instruction of our HOA. Please note that our Splash Pad area will be closed during the meet and is still under construction.
• Our Pool: We have an 8 lane pool with diving blocks on one side. Our shallow end is not deep enough for dives, so even numbers on relays must start in the water. We will use all 8 lanes unless coaches decide otherwise.
• Volunteers:

• Computer operators and ribbon writing will be upstairs in the clubhouse.

• Timers: We have an electronic timing system. It’s easy to use, and we will have a mandatory Timer Meeting at 5:15 p.m. to ensure all timers understand the system.

• This meeting will be on the top floor of the clubhouse.

• We will have one timer from Glen Abbey and one timer from your team in each lane.

• Concessions: Come hungry! We will have BBQ sandwiches, pizza, walking tacos, mac & cheese, and assorted candy and drinks. It is CASH ONLY!

From the Roswell Rapids:

Location:

Roswell Rapids swim out of the outdoor pool at Roswell Area Park located at 10495 Woodstock Road, Roswell 30075. Once you enter the park, there will be signage to direct drivers to the pool area and surrounding parking. There is ample parking for all families in the surrounding parking lot.

Pool Entrance:

Your team may enter the fenced pool area via the gate that is located on the side of the pool near the Physical Activity Center (around the side of the pool with the grassy area and opposite of the pool building/locker rooms).

Team Area/Bullpen:

Your team will be allocated the grassy area adjacent to the pool deck for use as a bullpen area for your swimmers. Much of this area is covered by a shade structure.

Spectator Seating:

There are a couple of small sets of bleachers next to the pool, however, spectators are encouraged to bring folding chairs if desired.

Pool:

Roswell Rapids meets use a 6-lane pool. Starting blocks will be available for swimmers to use on both ends of the pool and swimmers may choose to use the blocks or not based on their individual comfort level and preference.

Warm-up Times:

Your team will be allocated the pool for warm-ups from 4:45-5:15pm. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm.

Concessions:

A variety of concessions items will be available for purchase. These items generally include pizza, grilled burgers and hot dogs, chips, cookies, candy, a variety of drinks including Gatorade, water and soda and a Sno Cone machine. Roswell Rapids accept cash, credit card or PayPal.

Important City Rules:

No alcohol or tobacco is allowed on City of Roswell property.

The City of Roswell does not allow anyone in pool other than swimmers warming up or swimming their events. This includes dangling feet, etc. This is strictly enforced by the lifeguards. Please help us keep everyone safe!
